Soccer Recap: Denver West Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Denver West has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the DSST: College View Wolves. That's two games in a row now that Denver West have lost by just one goal.

Amir Gemeda and Jordi Cerna scored all three of Denver West's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Denver West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for DSST: College View, they pushed their record up to 5-4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Denver West wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Arvada on the 14th. As for DSST: College View, they will challenge Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
