Soccer Game Preview: Elgin vs. Cache

The Elgin Owls will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Cache Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Elgin is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell 2-0 to Weatherford on Saturday. Elgin haven't had much luck with Weatherford recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cache kept a clean sheet against Eisenhower on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Eagles 1-0.

Elgin got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Cache by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
