Volleyball Recap: Layton Takes a Loss

Layton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Payson Lions.

Leading Payson to victory were Brooklyn Shirley and Allie Mangum. Shirley had 17 assists, while Mangum had three digs and three aces. Shirley is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season.

Layton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Payson, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Layton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Delta on the 22nd. As for Payson, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Sky View on the 22nd.
