Volleyball Recap: Forest Park Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Forest Park dropped to 20-4 on Thursday, ending the team's six-match streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the North Posey Vikings by a score of 3-2. While the Rangers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-18 in the first set.

Madeline Tuggle paced Forest Park's offense, picking up 16 kills. Tuggle got some help from Natalie Thompson and her 41 assists. Avery Hill controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for North Posey, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Forest Park since September 28, 2017.

North Posey can attribute much of their success to Mallory Luigs, who had 28 digs and one assist. Luigs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 21 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addie Murphy, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Forest Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 4th. As for North Posey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Tell City on the 4th.
