Baseball Recap: Novi Christian Academy Takes a Loss

The Novi Christian Academy Warriors lost 9-3 to the Taylor Prep Tigers on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Gallagher was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only four walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Gallagher wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Novi Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Taylor Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Novi Christian Academy beat the Tigers by a score of 16-5 later that day.
