Soccer Game Preview: Nova vs. Monarch

The Nova Titans will challenge the Monarch Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Nova's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Nova fell victim to Stranahan and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Mighty Dragons.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Monarch was not quite Olympic Heights' equal in the second half on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 4-0. Monarch haven't had much luck with Olympic Heights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nova's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Monarch, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.

Nova skirted past Monarch 2-1 when the teams last played back in January of 2018. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
