Softball Game Preview: Upper St. Clair Panthers vs. Trinity Hillers

The Upper St. Clair Panthers will take on the Trinity Hillers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Upper St. Clair, who comes in off a win.

If Upper St. Clair beats Trinity with six runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Upper St. Clair walked away with a 6-3 victory over New Castle on Tuesday. The Panthers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Brooklyn Kemp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Nora Stutzman was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Geneva Eisinger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Upper St. Clair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Castle only posted a batting average of .200.

Meanwhile, Trinity didn't have quite enough to beat Chardon on Monday and fell 6-5.

Upper St. Clair's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
