Basketball Recap: Garden Plain Wins Going Away Against Rose Hill

Garden Plain hadn't done well against Rose Hill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Garden Plain Owls were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over the Rose Hill Rockets. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 49-46 victory the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Despite the defeat, Rose Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zander Ford posted 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trayton Allison-Hill, who put up four points.

Garden Plain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rose Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hesston the next time they take the court. Garden Plain will head out to face Hesston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Rose Hill will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
