Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Christian Sharks vs. Sagemont Prep Lions + Official Tickets

The Atlantic Christian Sharks will head out on the road to take on the Sagemont Prep Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Atlantic Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pine. The loss continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Sagemont Prep waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since September 6, 2024.

Sagemont Prep found their leader in freshman Juliana Aristizabal, who had ten digs and four aces. Aristizabal is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sagemont Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Atlantic Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Sagemont Prep, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Atlantic Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Sagemont Prep in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
