Baseball Recap: Eastern Tech Has No Trouble Against Franklin

While Eastern Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Franklin Indians with a sharp 12-5 victory on Tuesday. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Eastern Tech is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Franklin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Tech will head out to challenge Pikesville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Franklin, they will square off against Randallstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Rams have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
