Soccer Game Preview: Summit vs. Redmond/Culver

Summit is a perfect 4-0 against Redmond/Culver since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Storm will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Summit comes in on three and Redmond/Culver on five.

Summit's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Bend 6-0. Give Summit's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redmond/Culver). They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Mountain View on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Redmond/Culver's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Mountain View are ranked 144th).

Summit's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Redmond/Culver, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Summit was able to grind out a solid victory over Redmond/Culver in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
