Softball Recap: Moreno Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moreno Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Westminster Lions by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Vikings have suffered since March 7, 2024.

Mia Licon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs. Marissa Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Moreno Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Westminster, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

As of now, neither Moreno Valley nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
