With a playoff win on the line, Sickles rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Gaither Cowboys 3-0. This was payback for the Gryphons, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sickles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Montagna, who had five aces and four digs. That's the most digs Montagna has posted over her last six matchups. Myla Velez was another key player, getting five aces and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Sickles was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Sickles has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season. As for Gaither, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Sickles will face off against Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gaither does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
