Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Rams vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies + How To Watch

The St. Mary's Rams will face off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

St. Mary's can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They lost to Franklin on the road by a 68-51 margin. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

St. Mary's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonah Millonida, who shot 55% from the field en route to 19 points, and Jayden Hinkston, who posted 17 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kona Gomez, who earned five points.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Granite Bay and Woodcreek meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Grizzlies made off with a 62-61 win over the Timberwolves.

St. Mary's was able to grind out a solid victory over Granite Bay in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 77-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
