Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Legacy Academy on Thursday. The Faith Christian Falcons fell to Legacy Academy 80-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (57), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at Isaiah Schuler. Despite the final result, he posted 32 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Schuler has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Tyler Kibble was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legacy Academy only five offensive boards.

Brandon Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Legacy Academy, going 12-for-16 on his way to 29 points. That's the most points Hill has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anderson Allen, who shot 67% from the field en route to 15 points along with five assists and three steals.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 29-5. As for Legacy Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Faith Christian has already played their next match, a 66-58 win against SPIRE Academy on the 7th. As for Legacy Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-70 loss against Victory Christian Academy on the 7th.
