Football Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

Elmwood Park had taken Palisades Park/Leonia down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Crusaders lost to the Tigers at home by a 26-12 margin. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Elmwood Park and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Palisades Park/Leonia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Elmwood Park will take on rival Lyndhurst at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Palisades Park/Leonia is set to square off against their familiar foe Lodi on Friday.
