Volleyball Game Preview: South Bison vs. Laramie Plainsmen

South is 0-10 against Laramie since October of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m.

South came up short against East on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While South was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into East's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Laramie made easy work of Central on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Plainsmen.

Laramie was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-21.

South better focus on containing Sia Taufa and Ashlyn Stucky as the pair were huge in Laramie's win. Taufa had four digs and four aces, while Stucky had 11 assists and six digs. The dominant performance also gave Taufa a new career-high in assists (five).

Laramie's record now sits at 20-3. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

South might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Laramie in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
