Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Christopher Lewis and Caiden Nichols Lead Kwigillingok to Victory

It was a Battle of the Birds when Kwigillingok challenged Lewis Angapak on Friday. The Kwigillingok Eagles walked away with a 68-57 win over the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-55 last Friday.

Kwigillingok was led to victory by Caiden Nichols and Christopher Lewis. Nichols posted 29 points, while Lewis put up 21 points. That's the most points Lewis has posted since back in December of 2023. Corey Daniel was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the loss, Lewis Angapak still got an impressive performance from Demetrius Lewis, who earned 22 points. Lewis' big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane White, who had 14 points.

Kwigillingok's record now sits at 3-9. As for Lewis Angapak, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Kwigillingok wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-59 loss against Kongiganak on the 22nd. Lewis Angapak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
