Baseball Recap: Epping's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Epping hadn't done well against Newmarket recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers stepped up to hand the Mules a 1-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted against the Mules since May 19, 2016.

The win made it two in a row for Epping and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Newmarket, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
