Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos' Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

If Timpanogos was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Del Sol on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves lost 3-0 to the Spanish Fork Dons on Saturday. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While Timpanogos ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Cooper Pope paced Timpanogos' offense, picking up 14 kills. Pope got some help from Zaxen Downey and his 20 assists. Chance Wallace controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Spanish Fork got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Swenson out in front who had 19 assists. That's the most assists Swenson has posted over his last ten games. Another player making a difference was Preston Hupp, who had ten digs and two aces.

Timpanogos moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Spanish Fork, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Timpanogos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Provo on the 29th. As for Spanish Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Cedar Valley on the 29th.
