Baptist Hill comes up short despite Rickey Middleton Jr's dominant performance

Recap: Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. Cross Trojans

The Baptist Hill Bobcats lost against the Cross Trojans on January 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Baptist Hill took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cross.

Despite the loss, Baptist Hill still got an impressive performance from Rickey Middleton Jr, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Middleton Jr is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harold Gathers, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Cross was led to victory by Caden Ramsey and Dominick Lampkin. Ramsey dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Lampkin scored 22 points. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Baptist Hill's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Cross, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baptist Hill will face off against St. John's at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John's is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cross, they will head out on the road to challenge Burke at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burke is on a five-game streak of home wins, Cross a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
