Volleyball Recap: Camp Verde Cowboys vs. Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs
Camp Verde was the 3-2 winner over Rancho Solano Prep when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cowboys took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Thursday. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-14, 25-16.
Page Oothoudt paced Camp Verde's offense, picking up 20 kills. Oothoudt got some help from IreLinn Chavez-Flanagan and her 13 assists. Jayde Moore controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Bree Howard had a dynamite game For Rancho Solano Prep., getting 12 digs and five aces. What's more, Howard posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September.
Camp Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Rancho Solano Prep, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camp Verde will challenge Fountain Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Highland Prep West at 6:00 p.m.
