Basketball Recap: South Rowan Raiders vs. Gray Stone Day Knights

South Rowan took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Gray Stone Day Knights 55-28. The Raiders pushed the score to 52-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

South Rowan found their leader in freshman Anderson Pauley, who posted 18 points. Dacorian Pharr was another key player, putting up nine points.

When it comes to explaining why Gray Stone Day lost, don't look at Colt Greer. Despite the final result, he scored eight points and eight rebounds. Greer is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Eudy, who had a point and six rebounds.

South Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-49 defeat against A.L. Brown on the 18th. As for Gray Stone Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-26 loss against Sun Valley on the 18th.
