Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Big Valley Christian's Fifth in Last Six Outings

If Bret Harte wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Big Valley Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Caitlin Echegoyen. The Lions blew past the Bullfrogs 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Echegoyen, who had 14 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Big Valley Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 26-24, 25-18.

Big Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Bret Harte, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Big Valley Christian will face off against Sierra at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Bret Harte, they will take on Calaveras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
