Basketball Recap: Joplin Comes Up Short

Joplin lost against Nixa back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Joplin Eagles were dealt a 75-20 loss at the hands of the Nixa Eagles. While losing is never fun, Joplin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Nixa is ranked fourth).

Joplin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Nixa, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Joplin has already played their next contest (against Neosho), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nixa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-26 win against Waynesville on the 6th.
