While Blue Ridge's victory against Travelers Rest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Devildogs 7-6.

Luke Chappell tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Corbin King, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Babb, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Blue Ridge's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Travelers Rest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Travelers Rest will host Palmetto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Blue Ridge will be paying especially close attention to the Devildogs' contest: after the Devildogs face off against the Mustangs, they'll take on Blue Ridge again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
