Volleyball Recap: Caston Comes Up Short

Caston lost against North White back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Comets fell 2-0 to the Vikings.

Natalie Warner paced Caston's offense, picking up seven kills. Warner got some help from Madisyn Douglass and her nine assists.

North White's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Hunt, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hunt has posted over her last four matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Jacobsma, who had nine assists and six digs.

Caston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. As for North White, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Caston will be playing in front of their home fans against Triton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North White, they will venture away from home to square off against North Newton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
