Trinity and Moundridge are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Trinity Celtics will face off against the Moundridge Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Trinity beat Bennington 59-50. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Celtics' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Moundridge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 66-26 win over Inman. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Moundridge's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Trinity might still be hurting after the 72-46 defeat they got from Moundridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
