Baseball Recap: Hickman Kewpies vs. Smith-Cotton Tigers
Hickman extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 13-21 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Smith-Cotton Tigers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Kewpies couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for Smith-Cotton, they pushed their record up to 20-18 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games.
