Football Game Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. Port Arthur Memorial Titans

Ball hasn't had much luck against Port Arthur Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tornadoes are taking a road trip to face off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Ball was just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Sterling. While the Tornadoes had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Rangers 6-0.

Meanwhile, Port Arthur Memorial strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Beaumont United 62-0. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 378th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ball now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Port Arthur Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Ball took a serious blow against Port Arthur Memorial in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 45-14. Can the Tornadoes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
