Baseball Game Preview: Edsel Ford Thunderbirds vs. Taylor Griffins

The Edsel Ford Thunderbirds will face off against the Taylor Griffins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edsel Ford will be strutting in after a win while Taylor will be coming in after a loss.

Edsel Ford is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Annapolis on Saturday as they made off with a 21-1 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Ian Maness was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Tyler Zelek was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Taylor came up short against Ecorse on Tuesday and fell 6-3.

Taylor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chauncey Adkins, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Taylor now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Edsel Ford, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Edsel Ford came out on top in a nail-biter against Taylor when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Griffins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
