Saint Viator is 9-1 against Joliet Catholic since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Saint Viator Lions will square off against the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Saint Viator is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Saint Viator strolled past Niles West with points to spare, taking the game 59-41. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Wolves are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Joliet Catholic scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 94-84 to Yorkville Christian.

Saint Viator is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Joliet Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Saint Viator against Joliet Catholic in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Viator since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
