Baseball Game Preview: Taft Golden Eagles vs. Bowne Wildcats

The Taft Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Bowne Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taft has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Taft fell victim to Brandeis and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 23-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Golden Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Bowne waltzed into their game on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Metropolitan.

Bowne's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Taft, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
