Softball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Huskies on Saturday. Hamilton fell 9-5 to South Hills. Hamilton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklyn Bassett and Jazmin Ramirez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bassett scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Ramirez scored a run while going 2-for-3. That run was Bassett's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigaile Parker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season.

Hamilton has already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against O'Connor on the 11th. South Hills will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Citrus Valley at 3:15 p.m. on March 26th.
