Baseball Game Preview: Harmony Area Owls vs. West Branch Warriors

Harmony Area is 0-10 against West Branch since May of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Owls will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Harmony Area has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harmony Area's last matchup with Blacklick Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Owls lost 14-2 to the Vikings.

Meanwhile, West Branch didn't have quite enough to beat Moshannon Valley on Thursday and fell 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly two runs.

West Branch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Esposti, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Another was Coby Kephart, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Harmony Area's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for West Branch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
