Badger's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Burlington Demons 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Demons: they've now won three in a row.

Gavin Stewart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trent Ertmann, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Matthew O'Grady was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Badger's record is now 4-1. As for Burlington, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Burlington will head out on the road to take on Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Demons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Badger will be paying especially close attention to Burlington's match: after Burlington faces off against Milton, they'll take on Badger again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
