Baseball Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Paxton Bobcats

The Destin Sharks will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Paxton Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Destin has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Destin lost 12-3 to Cottondale on Friday.

Palmer Robbins was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Paxton was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of W.S. Neal by a score of 3-1. The loss was the Bobcats' first of the season.

Paxton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phillip Bearden, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. What's more, Bearden posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Destin's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Paxton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
