Basketball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 50-37 to the Powell Panthers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 49-30 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Lyman still got an impressive performance from Addison Smith, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Falyn Youngberg, who posted six points and four steals.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Powell, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Lyman has already played their next match, a 40-37 victory against Lovell on the 21st. As for Powell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-51 loss against Mountain View on the 18th.
