Baseball Game Preview: Monroe County Falcons vs. Metcalfe County Hornets

For the second straight game, Monroe County will face off against Metcalfe County. The Falcons will welcome the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monroe County let Metcalfe County stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Tuesday but luckily Monroe County prevailed anyway. The Falcons skirted past the Hornets 5-4. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Brison Nuckols, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gradey Starnes, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Metcalfe County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Monroe County, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
