Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Halifax Vikings vs. Southeast Halifax Trojans

The Northwest Halifax Vikings and the Southeast Halifax Trojans will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Northwest Halifax came up short against Rocky Mount Prep and fell 54-41. The Vikings were down 41-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Southeast Halifax took a blow against North Edgecombe on Tuesday, falling 73-42. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Northwest Halifax has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Southeast Halifax, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Northwest Halifax beat Southeast Halifax 53-46 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Northwest Halifax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast Halifax turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
