Volleyball Recap: Pecos Comes Up Short

Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Wink Wildcats. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-11.

Zarilynn Archuleta paced Pecos' offense, picking up five kills. Archuleta got some help from Brooke Garcia and her seven assists.

Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Wink, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Coming up, Pecos will be taking part in a tournament against Graham at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Wink, they will take on Ropes in a tournament on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
