Gretna faced Marian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Dragons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crusaders. The Dragons were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Crusaders, so the Dragons were just returning the favor.

Logann Dostal paced Gretna's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dostal got some help from Maggie Miller and her 19 assists. Koco Janssen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gretna's record is now 3-1. As for Marian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Gretna has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Elkhorn North on the 30th. As for Marian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Omaha Westside on the 30th.
