Soccer Recap: Richfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Richfield was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of South St. Paul on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Academy of Holy Angels Stars on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Richfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Academy of Holy Angels are ranked seventh).

Richfield now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Academy of Holy Angels, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1.

Richfield wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Robbinsdale Cooper on the 1st. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they will square off against Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
