Softball Game Preview: Bryan Vikings vs. Temple Wildcats

The Bryan Vikings will challenge the Temple Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bryan has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bryan is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 12-8 to Shoemaker.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Temple, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Killeen on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kaegan Yepma was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lilliana Gandara, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Temple always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Temple, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1.
