Fremd is 9-1 against Conant since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Fremd's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Conant's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fremd had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Bartlett on Wednesday. The Vikings never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Vikings have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Conant walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 11th.

Cailyn Kehoe was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Kiana Leopoldo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Fremd pushed their record up to 17-7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Conant, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Fremd came out on top in a nail-biter against Conant in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
