Basketball Recap: Khaleek Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Constitution over Imhotep Charter

Constitution lost against Imhotep Charter back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Constitution Generals fell 57-48 to the Imhotep Charter Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Panthers are ranked 13th).

Constitution lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Khaleek Johnson, who posted 11 points. Alantay Dawson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Constitution dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Imhotep Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Constitution has already played their next contest, a 66-56 victory against Abraham Lincoln on the 28th. As for Imhotep Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-32 win against Sankofa Freedom Academy on the 28th.
