It was a proper cat-fight when Marshfield challenged Chippewa Falls on Monday. The Marshfield Tigers claimed a resounding 75-31 victory over the Chippewa Falls Cardinals. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 31 points or more this season.

Marshfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaida Kolbeck out in front who posted 11 points. Kolbeck has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Allar, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory (which was Marshfield's third in a row) raised their record to 7-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Chippewa Falls, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshfield will square off against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chippewa Falls, they will face off against Eau Claire Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
