Football Recap: Westview Comes Up Short on the Road Against Thunderbird

Westview had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 47-6 loss at the hands of the Thunderbird Titans. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Nicholas Price threw for 76 yards and one touchdown. Anthony Houston was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Lorenzo Vela rushed for 60 yards.

Thunderbird's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melakye Little, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Those 86 rushing yards gave Little a new career-high. Daryl Little was another key pass catcher, picking up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Westview is taking a road trip to challenge ALA - West Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thunderbird, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m.
