Baseball Game Preview: Ferris Bulldogs vs. Rahway Indians

The Ferris Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Rahway Indians at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ferris is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Ferris got the win against Dickinson by a conclusive 15-1. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Rahway came out on top against Perth Amboy Vo-Tech on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Indians took their matchup against the Patriots 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

The team relied heavily on Roelvis Fermin Torres, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Yeremy Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ferris pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Rahway, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Ferris came out on top in a nail-biter against Rahway in their previous matchup on April 5th, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
