Basketball Game Preview: Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers vs. Revere Minutemen

Cuyahoga Falls hasn't had much luck against Revere recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers will square off against the Revere Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Cuyahoga Falls made off with a 33-32 victory over Roosevelt. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Tigers.

Meanwhile, Revere hadn't done well against Aurora recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Revere secured a 44-40 W over Aurora. The win was all the more spectacular given the Minutemen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Greenmen are ranked 203rd).

Revere's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Cuyahoga Falls, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Cuyahoga Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Revere when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuyahoga Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
